American Car Imports

4,000 BHP, in 3 Stunning vehicles, and ones a BIKE!!!
And they’ve all got V8’s………………

The Boss Hoss

2 wheels, 355 brake horsepower with a V8 corvette engine!
What more can you say about the bike to end all bikes, the stunning Boss Hoss!!!
‘Only in America’ is the phrase that springs to mind to sum up the individual who dreamed up the concept of manufacturing what must truly be the ultimate road bike!
Like all good things American the specification list reads like an overdose of overkill……………..

Engine: GM Chevy Small Block 350 cu in (5735cc)
Transmission: 2 speed automatic with engine powered reverse
Horsepower: 355 @ 5250 rpm
Torque 355 @ 3500 rpm
Tank width: 27 inches
Dry weight: 1100 lb

Now this is a unique machine in more than many ways, but a few astounding facts to ponder:
It has a 2 speed automatic gearbox, with an almost unheard of reverse gear which is engine powered! Yes that’s right, the bike is such a monster, it even has a reverse gear to help the rider with the 1100 lb weight!
The fuel tank is made from 2 H-D Fatboy tanks welded together to give it the massive capacity to feed the V8 Chevy engine.
The V8 Chevy engine is straight out of a production Corvette. This is Chevy’s flagship sportscar, so can you imagine all that power on 2 wheels!
If you think it looks impressive, wait until you hear the experience the nascar inspired V8 roar from a road bike!

1940 Chevy Hot Rod

The original link between American Car Imports and Drag Racing is this gorgeous 1940’s Chevy. Another 502 cu inch 502 BHP engine sits comfortably within the near 64 year old frame although it now looks nothing like Chevrolet intended in the 40’s.
Fatter rubber, bigger engine and many other refinements make this classic Chevy totally unique!
From the brand new 502 BHP chevy V8 to the hurst shifter and the Budnik custom made billet steering wheel its all outstanding quality and completely immaculate!
Take a look at the spec for yourself:

Car: 1940 Chevy Super Deluxe Coupe
Body: Roof chopped and raked
Chassis: Original Chevy chassis with extra cross members and strengthening
Engine 502 cu in 502 BHP Big Block Chevy crate motor
Transmission: TH400 3 speed automatic
Interior: Richmond Vinyl, Wilton Carpet with 4 seats and stock instruments

The Coupe has a long history, as youd expect with any car this old. It came into the hands of Anthony Cohen at American Car Imports by way of a customer from Ireland who part exchanged it for a new vehicle. Anthony had to drive the Coupe back from Ireland and as a result the Drag Racing link was made. The rest as they say is history as you are about to see with the next extreme American vehicle in the ACI stable….
