GEORGE GREVES LEADS THE SPORTSMAN ET CHAMPIONSHIP

George Greves in the American Car Imports sponsored red 2002 Ford Lightning is now the leader in the British Sportsman ET championship.
Under difficult circumstances he was able to back up his consistent performance with a runner-up position at the main event in Santa Pod over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. His 13.590 @ 100.30 mph with a dialed in time of 13.43 was only beaten in the finals by Paul Bishop (16.50), who did 16.675 secs @ 78.52 mph. George Greves’ achievement is even more remarkable as he had to run his Lightning in stock configuration as the eagerly awaited new engine chip hadn’t arrived in time from the United States. As soon as all the new bits have been installed he’s likely to have at least 700 bhp, which should get his ET down into the 11’s.
